Hyatt Ranch will harvest the steer when it weighs between 1,200 lb. and 1,350 lb. This will generate a hanging weight of approximately 800 lb. After the butcher processes the animal, the result will be 480-520 lb. of boxed beef!

A half beef will require 8-10 cubic feet of freezer space while a whole beef will require 16-20 cubic feet of freezer space.

Give us a call or email us for immediate availability and reservations. We will then provide a schedule and take a deposit for the Beef. After your deposit is taken and the animal is harvested, it will be delivered to one of our available butcher shops. At this time the balance due to Hyatt Ranch will be paid. After the animal is delivered to the butcher shop, they will contact you to confirm the cuts that you want and the types/sizes of packaging for your family. Once the butcher shop is done processing the animal you will pick it up directly from them and pay them for the cut and wrap portion.

We collect a 10% deposit of $250 for a half beef or $500 for a whole beef at time of scheduling. The remaining $2,250 for a half beef or $4,500 for a whole beef is due at time of delivery to the butcher shop. Cut and wrap fees will be paid directly to the butcher at time of pick up. The final cost at the butcher shop is based on the hanging weight, which varies between animals. The current fee is $1.60 per lb.

There is one big reason why our beef carries a slightly higher price than some of the other ranches.

While our steers are pasture-raised and grass-fed just like the other guys, they are grain-finished. This adds considerable cost in feed as well as labor. We invest this time and money into your beef because it produces a beautifully marbled and superior tasting meat that just can’t be matched by grass-finished producers.
